Clayton or DK?

Hello chaps - can anyone tell me if this a Clayton casting or DK? It looks like a straight copy of Hinton Hunt BN50 British Light Dragoon which makes me think that it's Clayton but it doesn't have the HH mark underneath - it does have what looks like the numbers 135 or 155 under the base.

I read (possibly on the Vintage 20mil site) that DK's were slightly modified from HH figures but was this always the case?

according to an old DK listing i've got, British Light Dragoon code number is 165/1, could the number on the base of your figure be similar?

DK figures are slimmer than HH and most of the range as far as i know were adapted from HH figures

John - I think it could be 165 which makes it pretty certain to be DK then. The figure looks identical to the HH pic on the Hinton Hunter and seems more like a straight copy than adapted. I also have some Austrian Hussars that I now think are from the same maker but they to are identical to the HH ones.

I had thought that (for obvious reasons) DK had amended the HH figures for their range but these do seem identical except for being thinner and having slightly irregular shaped bases - and of course no HH markings.

Thanks for you help.
