Unknown hoplite and phalangite

Couple of figures here that I would appreciate i.d.ing.

The hoplite I got off Harry Pearson - basically, he didn't know what they were, so he sent them to me and I don't know either. They look as though they should be Minfigs S range, but not ones I've seen.

The phalangite I bought off the internet - at first glance I thought they were pirate garrison conversions, but they looked good so I thought 'well, if they are Garrison conversions, they are good ones - perhaps I could legitimise them.' They aren't Garrison, and I haven't a clue as to who made them. Help appreciated.

They look familiar to me - could they be Lamming?

I think the Greek is a later version Minifigs Spartan. IIRC the first version was clumsy with an upright spear and shield by his side and this replaced him.

Hi! I've got some very similar figures that have 'violin' shields. I'll look at them to see if I can't get a number or something off the.

my e-mail is: chirine@aethervox.net

I susspect Minifigs for the one on the left, I had a mixed Greco/Romano/Sparten army as a kid, and I had a few metal 'treats' as officers!! One of which looked very similar (but different pose) to the left hand chap, and I know they were all Minifig's either from Concord models or Tangley over in Guildford. No idea on the other...?
