I think it probably is the Line Lancer officer. I know I have some of these in a painted unit so I will compare them. The difficulty in getting too hung up on uniform details in identification is I am never 100% confident about how accurate the figures will be.
I am intending to use this site to post pictures for identification help before blogging them publicly on the Hinton Hunter, Old Metal Detector or Lone S Ranger sites. You can use the comments feature to respond and see any ideas others have left. If you want to post pictures here for others to help with, let me know and I can arrange the right to post. I won't be publicising the site in general, it's really to enable us to do this on line rather than by e-mail and hopefully with higher definition pictures. A Westfalian Cuirassier officer??

are you sure this is a cuirassier, have got mine as a French Line Lancer officer

Can I see a close up from the front as I am not sure if the cuirass is just painted.
With this helmet he could be a Westfalian as Roy suggested or a Saxon.
French line Lancer officer is another possibility.

Could be a Saxon or Westfalian, but a French lancer officer is also possible.

If he's a French line lancer then he should have a turban on the helmet.
The shabraque and valise ae right for LC though.
